As a performer I have the great fortune to spend time in many wonderful winter wedding venues around the world.

Choosing at which venue one should host their wedding can be a challenge, especially if the one you had dreamed of is fully booked on your chosen date.

In this article, we’ll explore the seven most exquisite winter wedding venues in England, where snowflakes dance in the crisp air, and the landscapes are transformed into a dreamy, fairytale setting for your special day.

So, grab a cup of hot cocoa, cozy up, and let us embark on a journey. Let us discover the perfect backdrop for your love story. These venues are not just places; they are where magic happens. They are places where your love story begins a new, enchanting chapter.

I have listed my 7 favourite venues in which I have performed. They have only made this list if they met the following criteria:

  • Elegant venue
  • Friendly, and easy to work with staff
  • Superb food

These should seem fairly obvious, but not every venue will always be able to tick all three boxes.

The list isn’t in order (I couldn’t possibly say which was better!) like pets and children, I loved them all equally.

Without further ado, let’s look at my favourite venues where people get to become the “World’s Newest Married Couple”.

Ashdown Park Hotel, East Sussex

First on the list is Ashdown Park Hotel, East Sussex.

I have been booked to perform here on quite a few occasions and each time has been wholly memorable.

It is unquestionably one of the best winter wedding venues in the country, just look at these pictures!

During a wedding here one December, the grounds were covered in thick snow. The local deer were visible against the white background and it already looked magical, before I had even performed a card trick!

Rife with wonderful photograph locations, your photographer’s creative juices will be flowing, giving you those gorgeous shots.

Each time, the team are great to work with in the lead up, and during the day. The venue is, evidently, incredible. The food was superb, I enjoyed every last bite.

Dodford Manor, Northamptonshire

The entrance to the property of Dodford Manor. Winter Wedding VenuesI suppose I am slightly biased with this venue, as it essentially has my name within its name.

Other than that, it is a great place for a winter wedding, I have been here as a guests and as a performer, each event was very magical in its own way.

There is plenty of outdoor space for gorgeous photographs, of course if it’s snowing, you’ll have to be quick before putting your coat back on.A couple of newlyweds standing in the snow at Dodford Manor. Winter Wedding Venues

The team here were lovely to work with going the extra mile to help me help the couple’s day all the more magical.

The food I was served was vegetarian, they made meat eaters at each table enjoy their veggies with fresh and well seasoned ingredients!

Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire

Hedsor House in the snow. Winter Wedding VenuesI do love this venue, it smacks of elegance and for winter weddings, your photographs will look great on those cold, crisp days where the sun is out. Also, the grounds of Hedsor House are immaculate so you will feel very much a Lord of the manor when you are here.

The wedding team here will make your big day super special with elegant service and delicious food.

With a coat on, you can go and explore the grounds…

I did love performing in this room, it was intimate, yet equally large enough to comfortably fit all of your friends and family.

I am looking forward to performing here in the future!

Kimpton Fitzroy, London

I have performed here a few times, and was well hosted by the friendly and professional events team. The guests all had smiles on their faces, not just from my magic, but from celebrating the marriage in this wonderful venue.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. Grand on the inside and out, with the bedrooms being super elegant too.A wedding banquet at Kimpton Fitzroy. Wonderful Winter Wedding Venues

The food was simply wonderful, some of the best I have eaten, such delicacies from starter to dessert, elegant and flavoursome.

There is also their Palm Court, the perfect place for your drinks reception while the ceremony room is transformed and readied for your meal.

As a Surrey boy, I have been here quite a few times. As a child the grounds of this were great to explore and run around.

The house itself is a great place to host your family and friends for dinner and a party.

Their food was delicious and the staff a delight to work with.

With opulent design throughout and a wonderful dining room, you will thoroughly enjoy your day. The team at Crazy Bear will make sure of that, planning your wedding with you to finesse every last detail.

Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

Hatfield House in the snow. Winter Wedding Venues.Following a winding driveway sits the spectacular Jacobean hall of Hatfield House. Built in 1497, the Old Palace is brimming with history and Queen Elizabeth I even spent her childhood here.

Two venues within Hatfield House are available to host your wedding, the Palace, or The Riding School. The Palace being the larger of the two.

How gorgeous does the building look when it is topped with fresh snow?

There are plenty of grounds to explore with your photographer to get those elegant and creative shots.
